Dedicated Programming Capability
Avnet SEI's 3,600sq.ft. Programming Centre supports industry standard programmable devices, in various packages including surface mount, dual-in-line, PLCC and TSOP. Using manufacturer approved DATA I/O programming equipment, the Centre supports Programmable Logic Devices, Memory Devices and Microcontrollers. Input is accepted from device masters, truth-tables, equations and JEDEC format discs.
Volume Programming
Short prototype runs to high volume production can be handled with efficiency. For volume programming, the Centre provides fully automated handling, test vectoring and labelling of dual-in-line or surface mount devices. In total, the Centre programmes over four million devices a year.
Rapid Turnaround
Avnet SEI's European Programming Centre offers 48-hour turnaround, (subject to volume). A premium same day service is also available.
Master Devices
Master device generation and storage is offered. A 28,000 strong master library is currently maintained.

Labelling
All paperwork and labelling is supplied with customer part numbering.
Kanban
Avnet SEI is committed to ensuring that our shipping facilities can meet the needs of all customers’ special supply requirements.
For both EDI and non-EDI based Kanban systems, Avnet SEI offers bin replenishment on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, as specified by the customer.
Barcoding
Both outer and inner boxes are barcoded to include customer-relevant information, speeding goods inwards handling.
Contract Management
In addition to competitive volume pricing, Avnet SEI's contract management facilities offer long term, proactive co-ordination of customer supply requirements. Each contract is individually supervised by an experienced manager; stock and delivery arrangements are tailored to each customer’s needs and regular business reviews monitor delivery performance.
Dynamic Buffer
Avnet SEI's bespoke software system, reviews the latest supplier lead time information against each customer’s usage on a daily basis. Highly accurate stock level requirement predictions are provided.
Early Warning
With the assistance of the Dynamic Buffer, and their in-depth market knowledge, Avnet SEI Contract Managers can provide the earliest possible warning of stock shortages. As a leading broadline distributor, Avnet SEI is well placed to identify alternative sources of supply.
Kitting & Consolidated despatch
Avnet SEI will prepack to customer specification, and ship direct to the production line.

Electronic trading
Electronic trading maximises purchasing and supply efficiency. To enable our customers to fully exploit these benefits, Avnet SEI has specifically developed several tools which are currently available.
Quick Quote Import
For even faster response, the Quick Quote Import faciliti enables Avnet SEI to accept customer enquiries in standard spreadsheet formats such as Microsoft Excel and Lotus 1-2-3 either via e-mail or on disc. Quotations are returned in their original format.
WIzzARD
A direct, universal, seamless interface that can support almost any MRP system. Direct electronic transfer combined with matching to the orderbook of customers’ MRP systems is provided free-of-charge. With WIzzARD there are no expensive start up costs, and no complex technology. Simply link up to WIzzARD via a modem or the Internet, or put your MRP output on disc and post it to us.
