EWARS is an electronic logistics programme that manages material flow in the supply chain by planning resources and integrating forecast and product availability information .
The forecast information from a customer's MRP system triggers backlog management tools at suppliers and generates or modifies orders accordingly .

Avnet SEI's logistics facilities in Europe use state-of-the-art techniques, such as electronic picking, barcode scanning technology and warehouse management systems, allowing paperless, highly accurate and highly productive handling of orders.
The single IT system allows all free product inventory across Europe to be visible and available to every Avnet SEI customer. Customers' orders can be supplied from any warehouse in Europe, either to the local warehouse for consolidation with other goods or drop-shipped directly to the customer. This process provides a 24 hour delivery service throughout Europe.
